When the hero traveled to Hell's Gate to vanquish the demons, he left the Loyal Chicken in a safe place. There, the Loyal Chicken stayed until a new conflict threatened the world once more. The Loyal Chicken donned the bandanna left to him by his master and bravely set out into the world.
Perhaps it is those small bits of courage still held by that the bandanna that let it fearlessly embark on this dangerous journey.
